Signs Your Elite Welding & Fabrication Is Failing

• The gate sags toward the latch side. This is almost always a hinge weld that has cracked or stretched. The gate leaf’s own weight pulls it down, and the opener arm starts fighting the sag. Left alone, the hinge pin will eventually shear.
• A creaking or popping sound when the gate opens. That pop is the sound of a weld joint flexing. Steel shouldn’t flex at a weld; it should either hold or break. A popping weld means the bead has partially separated from the parent metal.
