Signs Your Ghost Controls Gate Motor Replacement Is Failing

Ghost Controls motors don’t usually die without warning. Here’s what we see in Pasadena, symptom first, cause second:

What we don’t recommend is opening the actuator housing or swapping the motor yourself. The arm is under preload tension even when the gate is parked, and the internal drive assembly has sharp edges and pinch points. Ghost Controls units also have a large capacitor on the controller board that holds charge after power is killed – it’s a genuine shock risk if you’re not draining it properly.
